Harbin St. Sophia Church is the largest Nicolas Church in the Far East area. Originally built in 1907 by the Infantry Division of the tsarist in eastern Siberia, St. Sophia Church was rebuilt in a wood and brick structure in 1912, and later in September of 1923, it was rebuilt again at present site for nine years and finished in October of 1932. The moment it was finished, it had been the landmark of Harbin by its grand and magnificent appearance and exotic atmosphere. Today, it is a popular tourist spot in the city attracting visitors home and abroad as well as a key historical site for the research of modern history of Harbin.

The Sun Island was commonly known by people in 1980s by the beautiful song on the Sun Island. It is a charming island surrounded by green waters with simple, unspoiled and wild landscape. Guogeli Street, a 2 kilometer long cobble-stone roadway, was built in 1901, today it has lived through over 100 years of history. During the early 18th century when plans for a 'new city' were made in conjunction with the construction of a new north-eastern rail line, this Guogeli Street first appeared. However, it wasn't until 1902 that Qiulin Firm moved a branch company to the surrounding area and built up many buildings. Many other Russian businesses soon began springing up over the street, such as shops and. Then Guogeli Street began to develop gradually. In 2003 Guogeli Street was transformed to a famous cultural street to display the history and culture of Heilongjiang Province.

Regarded as the First Street in Harbin and built in 1898, Central Street got its present name in 1928. The street now is the most prosperous business street as well as a famous pedestrian street in the city centers for sightseeing, shopping, entertainment, catering and leisure that contains the most famed delicacies and specialties of the city. Heilongjiang Provincial Museum

Heilongjiang Provincial Museum is located in the provincial capital Harbin; it was built in 1906 in accordance with classic European architectural design, the museum hold a collection of historical, natural and cultural exhibits. With a total collection up to 107,000, Heilongjiang Provincial Museum exhibits parietals and shins of ancient humans which can trace back to over 20,000 years ago. The silk fabrics collected in the museum were excavated from king tombs of Qi State, Jin Dynasty (1115-1234). Fossils from prehistoric birds are also exhibited, huge and complete.
